The aim of this course is to help students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge needed to solve global issues from the viewpoint of geology and acquire the ability to create new academic fields for the next generation.
This course is to help students acquire the abilities to understand the problem and significance of the scientific papers in relation to your research, when you read some papers.

This seminar is for first year doctoral students. Students are expected to read scientific papers in fields related to their own research such as geology, petrology and paleontology out of this class hour and to prepare own presentation. They are also expected to present the information in front of the other members of the group.
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.
Estimate based on the degree of understanding, construction and method of presentation.
The minimum passing criterion is to present the contents of the dissertation in an easy-to-understand manner.
Reference will be Introduced or resume will be distributed on the seminar.

This course is conducted in mainly Japanese but accept international student who have studied geology.
